The Essential Guitar Equipment

You are a new musician, and you want to buy a guitar and equipment, but you don’t know where to start. There are many choices, but with a little guidance you will be well on your way to rock-stardom.
The most important piece of equipment is obviously the guitar. You can either buy an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, or combo. For each type of guitar, there are many companies to choose from. Some include Fender, Gibson, Schecter, Ibanez, Jackson, Martin, Breedlove, B.C. Rich, and Esteban’s line. When buying a guitar, your best choice is to actually go into the store. Trustable stores include Guitar Centers, and your local shops.
If you are going to get an electric, or combo guitar, you will need an amp. Amp sizes range from 10 watts, up to "high-wattage beasts". Prices also range from $60 up to $5,000 sets. For beginner guitarists, the best choice is around a 15 watt practice amp. For the seasoned veteran, choices include 100 watt combo amps, half stacks, full stacks, and much, much mor

The stomp-box is not a necessity, but it is a great addition. Essentially, it is an effects unit with the ability to mix and match sounds. On the low end is the RP50 ($50 now), to pricy professional rack mount systems.
The guitar accessories include picks, cables, tuners, headphones, and guitar cleaner. All of these items are pretty much a necessity when it comes to owning a guitar.
All of this equipment and information will arm you with the correct "weapons" to slay the "beast" that is guitar choices, amps and accessories.
